10/22/21 - This is a very nice Springfield Armory M1 Garand from 1955. Barrel is also made by Springfield Armory and dated to March of 1955. Excellent parkerized finish on the metal parts, with just a little wear around the muzzle and gas tube. Minty receiver with sharp markings. Stock shows its age and obvious handling wear, and there are a few small chips in the wood. Left side has the DoD cartouche. Minty bore, hardly looks fired, and muzzle and throat are both under a 1. Comes with a postwar canvas sling.
